Back Mountain Dental / James C. DeFinnis D.M.D. - how safe is it IV sedation?
(I will never share your email or name with anyone)
Many folks are afraid of the dentist. Are you one of them? Or, are you a busy person? You probably feel that you really should see a dentist but you can't because the difficulty is having to make time in your busy schedule to keep coming back again and again?
A bad gag reflex could be another reason you avoid the dentist. Maybe you suffer from head and jaw and back pain that makes trips to the dentist very unpleasant.
I help a lot of people with my Wilkes-Barre sedation dentistry. The question they ask about sedation dentistry in Wilkes-Barre is what you are getting yourself into, safety wise.
I understand you hesitancy. But let me explain what sedation dentistry is and how the procedure helps you relax. I will also tell you why you don't have to worry.
Sedation dentistry involves giving you pills that have been known to science for a long time and have been proven to be safe. They are what is called diazapines, with Valium being part of it.
With these pills, you don't have to worry. The effects they cause come about by taking you out of the zone, as it were, so you are calm. Some people say that your muscles will also feel relaxed and help with the recovery process, though there is no solid evidence on that.
I am a fully trained sedation dentistry practitioner and I have plenty of experience. Sedation dentistry is performed all over the place. Easily there would have been hundreds of thousands of procedures using this method. And all the while, it has been very safe.
Right, take a guy like Tom Cruise. I really like his smile. I don't know Mr. Cruise, neither have I had him in my dentist's chair.
I have no idea whether or not he is scared of the dental office. It is hard to tell. What I do know is that if he is afraid then I know what he would want. Sedation dentistry would be the best answer. Cruise probably has no time to see the dentist given his hectic movie-making schedule. So, if Tom Cruise wants to take advantage of my Wilkes-Barre porcelain veneers, the last thing he would want is a treatment schedule that requires a lot of trips to the dentist. I could do it for him efficiently and effectively with only a handful of visits. The only way to do that is with sedation dentistry.
