Back Mountain Dental / James C. DeFinnis D.M.D. - Dental Veneers: Remedy for Tooth Discoloration
(I will never share your email or name with anyone)
People drink a lot of coffee these days. Much more than before. Maybe it is because it is cool to be seen in a coffee parlor that provide workaholics with their daily buzz. Perhaps due to the round-the-clock jobs. Why we drink coffee is not really the issue. Everybody has their own reason but the effects of this habit has an impact on us all. We strain our hearts every time we drink coffee, it makes our bladders work overtime and it discolors our teeth. And if we don't use a toothbrush, we can have halitosis, which is a big word for not-so-grandiose bad breath.
Then you have people who smoke as well as drink loads of coffee. It is not a good combination and has resulted in teeth staining in young people, who should not really be suffering from discoloration. You also get kids who drink too much soda, which can stain your teeth as well. There are other reasons for discoloration. It could be genetics as well as age.
Apart from that, there is tobacco chewing, which is a known cause of teeth stains. The teeth enamel is affected most because of the tar from the tobacco and blackens our teeth like those of hardened coal miners. The dangers of tobacco are nowadays well known and you find that a lot of folks have had enough.
More about sodas. This is a famous experiment. You take a tooth and immerse it into a vessel of cola or any kind of soda. The carbonated drink will break down the tooth in only a few hours. If you ask me, I don't think for a minute that we have the willpower to stay away from these fizzy thirst-quenchers. But drinking through a straw can prevent our teeth from getting stained. I just wish I could do the same for my hot lemon green tea or coffee.
With all the things we eat and drink, it's hard to get away from staining completely. If you suffer from stains, there is no need to fret. I am able to take them away for you. Just make a visit to my Wilkes-Barre dental office and let me see the damage. I won't need long to know whether we should give your teeth a cleaning or we should take your teeth out…
Gotcha! Actually, I want to let you know that you are given the option of having Back Mountain Dental veneers. I highly recommend veneers because they are tough and durable, won't harm your teeth and you don't have to worry about staining or discoloration. You can't ask for more than that!
