Back Mountain Dental / James C. DeFinnis D.M.D. - Veneers: When to Have Your Veneers Attached
(I will never share your email or name with anyone)
Many people love their coffee, tea and soda pop. I would advise them to go slow because these drinks will make your teeth discolored and cause problems with the natural, hard outer layer known as the enamel. Sometimes enamel damage occurs through a thinner-than-normal cover of enamel. This could be a hereditary problem with your parents possibly suffering the same effects.
Prescription medication could be another cause. These are drugs that affect the enamel and its ability to protect your teeth. Some people are prone to grinding their teeth together while asleep. That has an added effect on your enamel and diminishes the protection. Grinding also detrimentally effects the shape of your teeth, which has a harmful effect on your bite.
If you have problems with the enamel in your teeth, it is best to visit a dentist. However, it doesn't mean that you should have a dental veneer as soon as you sit down on a dentist's chair.
Come to see me at my Back Mountain Dental office in the Wilkes-Barre area. And I will try to treat you with a procedure such as teeth cleaning, which is very simple to do. You could also go for teeth whitening. You will be amazed about the qualities of a simple dab of tooth whitening solution.
But I still need to see how bad your enamel is. If the protective shield around your teeth is in a bad state, we might have to look at other options. One is to help your cause with dental veneers. Having veneers is a good option. The dental veneers work by providing a covering for the front part of the damaged tooth. The treatment starts by getting your teeth ready for the veneers. This is done the first time you see us. From there, my lab experts will be able to create the kind of veneers that you need. You will need to come back to our office after we have completed your veneers so we can have them attached.
Back Mountain Dental veneers have a string of benefits. You can have them in a choice of nice colors. And you don't have to worry about the color fading early. They are of good quality and will keep your teeth looking nice for a long time. The veneers are good at fixing your enamel. But they also help with gaps. By using veneers, these gaps eventually go away. All these are fine qualities of dental veneers. However, the reason most people love them is that they can shine as well as your own teeth. Therefore, there is no unevenness in color. Even with new veneers, you don't have to worry about lighting up the night sky.
