Back Mountain Dental / James C. DeFinnis D.M.D. - Porcelain Veneers: Taking Care of Your Marriage
(I will never share your email or name with anyone)
Two young people are sitting side by side in the park. The cool afternoon breeze is making the hair on his arms prickle.
He considers what he's about to do and thinks, "To heck with it, either she will or she won't." Starts to kneel in front of her. Struggles to pull the ring out. Blunders it due to his sauerkraut fingers.
The ring clinks on the ground…
He is ashamed to look at her, not having envisioned in his head the sudden embarrassing turn of events. He's astonished to find her crying. She hugs him firmly and says in a soft voice, "Yes, you don't even have to ask, sauerkraut fingers!"
You could say they lived happily ever after. But marriage is a lifelong undertaking. It takes effort to keep love alive. Most of us become complacent when they've been married for many years. Oblivious that our spouses need impulsiveness. EVen if they don't realize it themselves.
A little stimulation once in a while stays with them for a long time. Constant allegiance is the pledge of marriage. Taking that into consideration, let's try our best to go about bringing them pleasure. Short of joining stand up comedy workshops, we must bend over backward to guarantee that they laugh (or smile at any rate) once a day.
Okay, so maybe you're one of the most humdrum people you've met. What you lack in humor, you can compensate for by being caring. Caring for them and caring for yourself.
Yes, I'm not kidding. Tidy yourself up. Being a parent or grandparent doesn't mean you have the privilege of looking your age. Go to the grooming shop. Keep your hair tidy. Check out different clothing stores. Only purchase clothes that give you that tasteful yet ageless look. Have a personal style revolution.
Drop in to my Wilkes-Barre dental office and I will give your teeth the makeover that will have your spouse trembling with exhilaration. When we have the Wilkes-Barre porcelain veneers positioned, you will look in the mirror and see yourself as you were the day you got married. Let me take care of your teeth. You can tend to everything else.
